Research Your Keywords
You can’t simply come up with random keywords; you have to actually put some research into it to find the best keywords to help you achieve higher rankings.
The keywords you use must be relevant to your blog content, as well as your audience. They also can’t be too specific or too generalized. How can you identify the right keywords for your blog posts? Here are some tips:
- Determine who your target audience is. That’s first and foremost, as won’t matter what keywords you’re using if you don’t have an audience to target.
- Figure out the needs of your target audience and what they are trying to find. This will allow you to gain a better understanding of how they are searching for the solutions to their needs, which can help you determine which keywords will lead direct them to your blog.
- Find out about the search volume of the keywords you are considering. Tools like Keyword Planner and AdWord will let you see how frequently potential keywords are being searched for and tell you whether or not they will offer any value.
